The Illinois Zeta Alumni Chapter developed and presents a comprehensive 1-day career enrichment retreat for its active members. This program provides valuable insights and practical guidance on resume building, interviewing skills (including pre/post-interview best practices), and strategies for maintaining overall health and well-being, empowering members for post-graduate success.

Implementation:

  • Develop and structure eight hours of engaging content, incorporating lectures, interactive exercises, and reflective activities.

  • Facilitate learning from all stages of the preexisting “4 Stages of Career Planning”

    • Review & Prepare

  • Create a user-friendly website to support student learning and provide ongoing resources following the workshop

Final Product:

  • Successfully hosted professional development workshops at DePaul University for three consecutive years

  • Received endorsement from the National Scholarship Fund, facilitating a national expansion of the program to fraternities beginning in 2025.

  • The workshop has seen a total of 145 Phi Kappa Psi undergraduates in the last three years
